Kate Lees, Public Health Specialist. FFPH, MSc, MA, RD.

I am a registered both as a Public Health Specialist on the UK Public Health Register, and dietitian with the Healthcare and Professions Council.

I have worked in unitary and two-tier Local Authorities as a Consultant in Public Health, and as a Public Health Registrar in the NHS, Local Authorities, the Greater London Authority, the Department of Health and in academia. As an Allied Health Professional in the NHS, I worked mostly within the community as well as acute trusts, mental health, forensic and primary care settings. My experience working in and in partnership with so many different organisations, gave me great insight into the roles, cultures and drivers of the various agencies that together form our health and care system.

I have experience in evaluation, health needs assessments, analysing and interpreting public health data, policy and strategy development, evidence reviews, critical appraisal, briefing and report writing. I love developing others and enjoy teaching, training and mentoring. I use change management and quality improvement principles to achieve public health action across the health and care system, working collaboratively, in partnership with others.
